Members God_is_good
I got burnt out on tea when I was little because the only thing I was aloud to drink in my bottle was tea and koolaide :barfy:
Members IM4given
A good home-style meal is not the same if it isn't accompanied by a tall glass of ice tea IMHO. Let's see - broiled pork chops, mashed 'taters, corn on the cob, slow cooked green beans with bacon, big chunk of corn bread ... needs a glass of ice tea to wash it down! Or let's try - crispy fied chicken, mashed 'taters with chicken gravy, cole slaw, and hot from the oven home made biscuits .... still needs a glass of iced tea to wash it down! Oh how about - a skillet of fried 'taters, slow cooked beans and ham, collard greens, sliced 'maters from the garden and corn bread ... and a tall glass of ice tea! No other beverage seems to satisfy and accompany the meal like sweet ice tea (but not too sweet) made from Luizanne or Lipton orange pekoe. I guess I am a purist - I don't even like lemon in my tea. Now all that sounds good just change the drink to milk and we are on our way.
