Members John81
We haven't even had sprinkles of rain for awhile now. Getting dry again. No need to mow the yard this week.
Administrators HappyChristian Posted August 16, 2013 Administrators Share Posted August 16, 2013 We had rain a few days ago. It's 73 now and supposed to inch into the mid-80s by next week.

Administrators HappyChristian Posted August 16, 2013 Administrators Share Posted August 16, 2013 Ah, but the clothes smell so nice after hanging on the line!
Members John81
I don't mind, other than the convenience aspect. I was close to 10 when we got our first washer and dryer set at home. Before that Mom washed our clothes in an old ringer washer and then hung them on the line.
Administrators HappyChristian Posted August 16, 2013 Administrators Share Posted August 16, 2013 Yeah, we hung ours out for a lot of years when I was younger - although it was when I was a teenager. Convenience is definitely an issue in this day and age!
Members John81
We only have one clothes line now. Since we rarely use them anymore, when our other line broke we never put another back up. That limits the amount we can wash and dry in one day. Have to keep a close eye on the weather forecast now so we know when we can dry the clothes! Administrators HappyChristian Posted August 16, 2013 Administrators Share Posted August 16, 2013 Yeah, that is the biggest problem with using lines.

Members JerryNumbers
Its now down to 68º. Yes, nice, saving money, & Fall is not that far off. Yet I remember having hot days in September & October. I remember one October I had two house of nearly full grown chickens & the last week I remember having the fans & foggers going everyday, hoping nothing broke down for if it did I would probably lose many chickens due to the high temps.
