My grandson in the Marines will not be able to come home for Christmas, he just has 3 days, & in May he is headed back to Afghanistan for the 2nd time. Members JerryNumbers
Until I married I lived in the barracks. I had no problems with living in the barracks, for most the time I had only one roommate & we worked out of the same shop, part of the time we worked the same shift, I was walking distance of the shop I worked out of, & the chow hall was right next door. Members nodnarb
when I lived in the dorms it was a small room and we didn't have a roommate. I could walk to work if I wanted to and the chow hall was right behind the dorm. I wanted out because people were playing their music way to loud and it was annoying. Members John81
That's the problem I had, all that loud music I didn't want to listen to. Was glad to get away from that.
Members JerryNumbers
During my Air Force days was the first time I ever lived with the benefit of central heating & air. It spoiled me. After I married I had to get unspoiled & live without it for several years. I recall also. Before the Air Force I loved the water from our well out here in the country side of Arkansas, & hated city water. After going in the Air Force January 66, not getting back home until June 9, I could not stand to drink the water I had grown to love. City water tasted wonderful. Members John81
The best water I've ever tasted is the well water at the house I first grew up in. We got some wet snow that covered the grass! It won't last long, probably only overnight.
Members nodnarb
I don't like regualar water to much. I have to have flavor to it. and no snow yet.
Members John81
After we moved into town after my Grandpa died I never drank much water again until this century. After all them bouts with kidney stones I started drinking more water, usually bottled water because I can't stand the taste of the town water. Before that I drank way too much soda. Members nodnarb
I drank way to much pop before air force. now its not nearly as much... a lot more sweet tea than anything. still don't care for water. unless its is bottled flavored water. Members John81
When I was in my teens and most of my 20s I drank more Pepsi and Mountain Dew than anything else. Now I mostly drink water, tea and diet root beer.
Members nodnarb
For me it was Root Beer and any flavor MD. Sometimes orange pop.
Members John81
I've always liked Root Beer! I've only recently found a couple diet kinds I like. It seems if I drink regular pop anymore it goes right to my gut! Like I really need a root beer belly!
