Members JerryNumbers
I used to love snow, until one year we got more than 17". Many chicken houses fell to the ground. Mine had some damage, but did not fall. Had a good friend that had been in one of his chicken houses, as he stepped out the side door he heard a strange noise at the end of his chicken house, It came done like dominoes. With a big wave of dust rising killing 3/4 of the chickens. Of course if he had not just stepped out, he would have gone down with the chickens. Members John81
Snow is great for the kids to play in, and I used to love that, but being older snow is just something that has to be shoveled, to be kept from becoming too heavy on the roof and something we have to be cautious driving in. I would be fine with a light ground covering of snow for Christmas but otherwise I could do without the snow.
Members nodnarb
If I could move to a place where it never snows I'd be happy. (null)
Members John81
You could move to Miami but I don't know if you would like it there.
Members JerryNumbers
Request a move to the land of snowbirds, that John just suggested.
Members nodnarb
Right now I can't move anywhere.
Members John81
I prefer being settled. Some folks move with the seasons but that doesn't appeal to me.
Members nodnarb
I am truly content here. I deal with the snow, don't mean I like it.
Members JerryNumbers
Does your career field has you locked in to that one base?
Members John81
My daughter graduated as an LPN today! She should graduate as an RN in 2013.
Members JerryNumbers
That's neat, now she is ready to start working! When she get the RN, she will be ready to make much money.
Members John81
She's working part time in a hospital that's across the road from the college she's attending. One of the main reasons she's going for the RN is the much larger pay, plus RN's don't have to deal with as much of the "gross stuff" that LPNs and others do.
