Administrators HappyChristian Posted September 26, 2007 Administrators Share Posted September 26, 2007 My dad bit our doberman's nose once...after watching a show about a man who befriends wolves by doing that - it shows who is master. That dog followed my dad everywhere after that!!
Members 5dumplings@home
Have you read Julie of the Wolves? It is a really good book on pack behavior and whatnot.
Administrators HappyChristian Posted September 26, 2007 Administrators Share Posted September 26, 2007 I have not read it...even though I work in a library! Bad me. I have intended to read it and the other books in the series (I think there are 3 all together). It is an interesting premise, and I love Jean Craighead George's writing. Members 5dumplings@home
I have read all three. I write little reports on them when I'm done, and here's what I said about Julie's Wolf Pack: Julie?s Wolf Pack George, Jean Craighead This book focuses more on the pack itself than on Julie. It very clearly shows the interaction and instincts of the wolves. At the first it wasn?t as interesting, but it piqued my curiosity and held it. I think I'm going to have my oldest read the series. Also, another good book is Featherby's by Mary Steele. It has one swear word, but the book and the lessons were so excellent, that I bought a copy for our fifth/sixth grade language teacher's classroom and I marked out the word. :Green

Members John81
I LOVE to read! Ever since about 7th or 8th grade I've had a love for reading. The only problem is, there are so many books and so little time!
