My neighbor, who is also my landlady, asked me if I would go with her to help her to drive a car. She has been driving a rental for about a week since her van broke down, and she is replacing it with a used vehicle. I asked her where is the car, and she said it is "a couple of hours away", and then I can ride with her, and when are there I will drive her car back and she can take the rental back. So I said let me grab my shoes and I will help you.

Turns out we drove almost to MIAMI! When we get there, the car is not the one that had been posted on the website, and she tells the dealer "I don't want it!" and we turned around and drove back! We spent 12 hours on the road yesterday!

If you had asked me, I would have told you they wouldn't have it. It's bait and switch. They do it all the time. The most we've driven though for bait and switch garbage is 45 minutes.

I try to either buy used cars from folks I know or at least from a local dealer.

Since my hubby's job requires a lot of driving, he goes through cars A LOT!! There is a man who does his mechanic work that hubby can't do, and this guy also sells cars. Randy always gets a good deal from him.

Well, the sun is coming out now. Beautiful!!! :thumb We have had rain for the last several days, with just about no let up. Everything is green and perty!

We had thunder and lightning and some rain all through the night and early morning. Late in the morning the sun came out and the temperature shot up into the 90s and it got very humid and muggy.

I'm sure it's going to be muggy when I go outside in a few minutes. I love a good thunderstorm - if my hubby doesn't have to be out driving in it.

We had about eight hours of lightning and thunder (one "jump right awake" boomer) and just a tiny amount of rain.

It would be nice to see an old-fashioned thunder boomer, but my kids would probably freak out and run to hide under the sofa. :lol:
