Whats for Supper...

Recommended Posts

Yesterday I got 2 pieces of oxtail out of the freezer. I woke up just after 1.00 am, remembering that I had not put it in the fridge. I got up and put it in the slow cooker, thinking it would be OK for Molly, our cat. Just before we went to church, I got out a piece of chicken breast. When we got back, I wasn't sure that the chicken smelled quite right, so I bunged it in the oven and thought it would be OK for Molly. I had potatoes and veg and a couple of cold sausages left from yesterday. Molly wasn't impressed with the oxtail but liked the chicken.

Our electricity was off from 9.00 am yesterday till 2.40 pm this afternoon, so we have not eaten much. We had no heating either as our gas boiler will not work without the electric controls.

Had a chicken and bacon pie this evening.

My sister and b-i-l came for lunch today so we splashed out and bought a leg of lamb which I roasted. We also had roast potatoes and roast parsnips, steamed new potatoes, carrots and French beans, followed by Crème brûlée. I didn't want supper after that.

Our electricity was off again yesterday for about 6 hours. They still haven't managed to find the fault. They had done a temporary repair by strapping us to another phase. They will probably be back tomorrow to try to find the fault which will mean we will be off again. As soon as they connect us on the correct phase, it causes another fault further up the line.

Today I had turkey and cous cous.
