Whats for Supper...

Probably a tuna sandwich, maybe two of them. or ham. Some kind of sandwich. Without a reliable refrigerator and no power to the stove it's tough to do much else.

Last night I had Brunswick Stew, saltine crackers, cuties, and popsicles.

 

Tonight I'm having scratch chili con carne, saltines, popsicles.

Our son loves cuties...well, our entire family likes them.

If anyone doesn't know what cuties are, they are a small citrus fruit...think tangerine only firmer and more round. Like tangerines, they're easy to peel...and delicious!

Spring Salmon run is in full swing right now and the fish ladder counts are saying it is a banner year!  Fresh caught Coho Salmon tonight, with the first harvest of Swiss Chard from my garden, and some carry-over Yukon Gold potatoes from my Fall harvest.   The strawberries are coming on now as well so strawberry lemonade with dinner and strawberry shortcake afterwards.

The salmon sounds delicious! We're having pork chops and fried potatoes (yes - FRIED.  ) We'll be having strawberry shortcake for dessert as well.

Oh, I thought it was funny! I guess the "heh" didn't sound like much laughing, but I was laughing when I wrote it.

I've been making deep-fried bananas for snacks the last couple of weeks. They're basically bananas and pancake batter... can't be unhealthy, right?

We had pizza for supper tonight. It's been a long time, so it was good. Hubs gets the rest of the strawberries later (I had some on my waffle this morning).

Ham sandwich with Pepper jack cheese and tater tots...which brings up another word that I don't like...it drives me crazy when people just call them tots.
