Last night I made sloppy joes (not the can stuff yuk!)
So you make your own? Care to share the recipe??
Sure!

There are so many different versions of sloppy joes, here is mine:
(I dont measure anything)

Hamburger (as much as whatever kind you prefer)
onion (chopped)
green pepper (chopped)
salt and pepper
(cook the above ingredients then add the rest, simmering on med-low heat)
ketchup (alot)
a little mustard
worcestershire sauce (a little)
1 tablespoon white vinegar
brown sugar to taste

The way i do it is I add all those ingredients and then taste it and add more of any the above ingredients until it tastes just right :D

May I suggest a very tasty cheese, broccoli and chicken (white meat) casserole.

I don't have the recipe's ingredient quantities on the top of my head, but it's very generic and quite easy to throw together. :D

Ingredients::::

Fresh or frozen broccoli florets

1 can cream of chicken soup

Extra Sharp Cheddar cheese

Precooked and chunked chicken white meat

Toasted bread cubes.

Salt, pepper, and seasonings ( I prefer celery salt with poultry recipes) to individual taste.

My wife and daughter just throw it together and cover the whole thing with cheese, and put into the oven for about an hour. There isn't anything mission-critical about any of the ingredients.

BTW, here is an easy lasagna recipe...

Again, I don't measure

1 regular-size jar of Prego spaghetti sauce with Italian sausage in it.

1/2 lb. ground beef

1 16 oz. box of lasagna noodles

1 8 oz. carton of ricotta or cottage cheese

1 egg

Enough mozarella to make yourself happy. (Apply pneu-engine's Moore's law here)

Cook the noodles according to package directions.

Brown the ground beef. Stir into sauce.

Beat the egg and stir into the ricotta or cottage cheese.

Spread a thin layer of the sauce mixture on the bottom of a square baking dish.

On top of that first layer of sauce follow this pattern for layering: noodles, sauce, cheeses; noodles sauce, cheeses, noodles, sauce, cheeses, etc. Eventually you will run out of noodles or space. Just make sure the cheese comes out on top.

Cover with foil and cook for about 45 minutes at 350 degrees. Then take the foil off and cook for a few more minutes to let the cheese brown.

Here's a little tip: spray the foil with cooking spray so the cheese doesn't stick to it while cooking. Also, you can cut the noodles to fit your pan. I suggested trying this in a square pan instead of the normal 9x13 because there are only 2 of you.

Try it and have fun!
