Members Jerry
Thanks for posting those lyrics, Kubel. I have not read the last stanza before. I think that is by Isaac Watts, isn't it? He is one of my favourite. Here are some Psalms in Metre (for reading) by Isaac Watts. Check out Psalm 98 by Watts, and see if you don't recognize that hymn - I'm sure you probably have it memorized...
Guest Guest
Oh I love that hymn so much. It just shows what the Lord has done for me. I love it so much it's one of my favourites. Now, instead of saying: "I'll tell you all a story, I'll tell it with a twist, I'll write it with a razor blade I'll write it on my wrist" Instead of writing things like that these days I sing (very loudly)! "There is a fountain filled with blood drawn from Emmanuel

Members Kubel
Jerry, thats an awesome collection! Thanks for the link.
His blood tells a story! His blood shows His love for me. Isn't that awesome? Katy-Anne
Yes it is! My mind keeps going back to "and wonder how He could love me, a sinner, condemned, unclean" from I Stand Amazed. Just that very thought makes me weep. Why would a perfect God come down to earth to pay for the sins of a condemned, unclean sinner? The only answer is love. People always say what they are going to do when they get to heaven. "I'll ask God if Adam had a belly button", "I'll check up on loved ones", "I'll walk the streets of gold". But in reality, we will all be flat on our faces before Christ praising his name because of His great love for us. I don't praise him enough here on earth, and that's wrong of me. Psalms 148 Praise ye the LORD. Praise ye the LORD from the heavens: praise him in the heights. Praise ye him, all his angels: praise ye him, all his hosts. Praise ye him, sun and moon: praise him, all ye stars of light. Praise him, ye heavens of heavens, and ye waters that be above the heavens. Let them praise the name of the LORD: for he commanded, and they were created. He hath also stablished them for ever and ever: he hath made a decree which shall not pass. Praise the LORD from the earth, ye dragons, and all deeps: Fire, and hail; snow, and vapours; stormy wind fulfilling his word: Mountains, and all hills; fruitful trees, and all cedars: Beasts, and all cattle; creeping things, and flying fowl: Kings of the earth, and all people; princes, and all judges of the earth: Both young men, and maidens; old men, and children: Let them praise the name of the LORD: for his name alone is excellent; his glory is above the earth and heaven. He also exalteth the horn of his people, the praise of all his saints; even of the children of Israel, a people near unto him. Members rwilson
Come On!! Let's keep posting those lyrics, the more I read them, the more I want to to shout! Years I spent in vanity and pride, Caring not my Lord was crucified, Knowing not is was for me He died On Calvary. By God's Word at last my sin I learned; Then I trembled at the law I'd spurned Till my guilty soul imploring turned To Calvary. Now I've giv'n to Jesus everything; Now I claim Him as my King; Now my raptured soul can only sing Of Calvary. Oh, the love that drew salvation's plan Oh, the grace that brought it down to man! Oh, the mighty gulf that God did span At Calvary. CHORUSMercy there was great, and grace was free; AMEN!!!!!!!!Pardon there was multiplied to me; Come On!!!!!!There my burdened soul found liberty - AMEN!!!!!!!! Where?!?!?!At Calvary AMEN!!!! :sing: :sing: :sing: :sing: :sing: :sing: :sing: :sing: Because of the Cross, Bob Wilson
Members broncoman
Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound, That saved a wretch like me.... I once was lost but now am found, Was blind, but now, I see. T'was Grace that taught... my heart to fear. And Grace, my fears relieved. How precious did that Grace appear... the hour I first believed. Through many dangers, toils and snares... we have already come. T'was Grace that brought us safe thus far... and Grace will lead us home. The Lord has promised good to me... His word my hope secures. He will my shield and portion be... as long as life endures. When we've been here ten thousand years... bright shining as the sun. We've no less days to sing God's praise... then when we've first begun. "Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound, That saved a wretch like me.... I once was lost but now am found, Was blind, but now, I see.
