Members orvals
Our dearest friends lost their 22 year old daughter a couple of years ago and another friend lost his wife Thanksgiving day last year. This poen is written as a tribute to their pain. My love is gone My heart cries out in anguish Yet no one hears my plea My world has stopped Yet others still move I cannot hear Yet others speak I stand here weeping While others laugh My love is gone Yet life goes on I cry out to God But does he hear I ask why Knowing there is no answer Sleep flees my grasp Yet weariness is present Alone with the memories Alive with my ache My love is gone Yet life goes on An inward tug No not yet Prayer is a thought I hurt too much Lord why There is no answer The pain is intense The tears come again My love is gone Yet life goes on An out stretched hand I don
Members Madeline
That is a Beautiful Poem orvals, and it gives Hope to all Genuine Believers. Although our love ones pass on before we do, we can be rest assured that they are with the Lord. What's one moment (Sorrow) compared to an eternity? Love, Madeline
Members Anon
That is an amazing poem! I might think about sharing that with a friend who lost a toddler to leukemia last year....their only child.

Members Anon
Thanks! I sent it to her last night and she said she is going to put it in her daughter's scrapbook. It truly is a moving poem, I haven't read one so accurate from a Christian perspective in a long time, if ever. Many Christian poems seem to neglect the fact that people sometimes hurt so badly that they can't even pray or feel they can trust God...and that has to come back. I like how your poem allows for that but also shows that God is always there and is ready for us to come back to Him.
