Members Anon
God says "Pure religion and undefiled before God the Father is this...to visit the fatherless and the widows in their affliction, and to keep ourselves unspotted from the world." (Quoted from memory, may have messed up) Salvation is the finished work of Christ on the cross. Off the top of my head I would say salvation is a standing, and religion is the "works" that show our faith ("show me thy faith by thy works").
