Saint Helens eruption was noticed. Early that morning, right before school started and before we knew about the eruption, the sky turned an odd color and several of us were looking at the sky while in the parking lot. The St. Croix River and surrounding area is named "St. Croix National Scenic Waterway", and some people like to drive along the river especially in the fall because of the pretty fall colors.
