Members Bakershalfdozen
Anybody shop at a particular store or on Ebay for homeschooling material? There is a large KJV bookstore in this area that has a huge homeschooling section. They buy used homeschooling materials from parents and then resell them for 1/2 the cost of what the price would be from the publishers. I was able to get most of my A beka 4th grade books and K5 books from Gullions and the rest from Ebay. Incredible savings! :thumb
Administrators Pastor Matt Posted September 9, 2007 Administrators Share Posted September 9, 2007 Trish went to something just outside of Boston to buy books, and we saved $2,400.00 in books over last year. It was somekind of 1 day Christian book warehouse.
Members John81
I often order from Rainbow Resource Center. They have a HUGE catalog they'll send you free and you can order over the internet if you wish. For what I have bought, so far they have had the lowest prices of any other sources I've checked. I've always had good service with them. The have excellent descriptions and reviews of most of the products they offer.http://www.rainbowresource.com

If you need anything from them, or just want to shop and don't mind the crowds, I HIGHLY recommend going. From what I understand, they do this 4-6 times a year and drastically discount Bibles, textbooks, commentaries, and gift items. This was my first time going and was well worth the trip. :thumb
Members IM4given
Every home should have at least one copy of this book! It's called the Citizen's Rule Book.http://www.knowledgehouse.info/whitten.html
Members 5dumplings@home
I use several different ebay sellers as long as the feedback is good. The thing is, I always place my bid so that even with shipping charges, I pay less than I would buying direct. I save about $400 that way. If you end up paying $11 for a used book that costs $12 new, it's not that great of a deal.
Members Bakershalfdozen
When I was shopping for homeschool books, I noticed several times that people would keep bidding on something in order to win and ended up paying much more than they would have if they had ordered it new from A Beka. :loco That doesn't make sense to me.
