Abusive spouse

If the spouse uses verbally and emotionally abuse to the partner from time to time and the spouse refuses to seek counseling or help. The spouse didn't recognize it and denies it.
What can partner do?

Pray!

That and walk in Christ so that their Christlike charactor, demeanor and speech may be an example to them.

Pray the Holy Ghost would help the abusive spouse recognize the wrong they are doing and repent.

Pray for strength and wisdom in dealing with the situation and for comfort and protection from the abuse as the Lord works on the others heart.

Without a more clear understanding of what's going on, that is my initial response.
