Members Disciple Maker
I wrote this poem (PDF link below) when my daughter Darcy, her husband Seth, and their three day old son Simon Lance were killed in a car accident on July 13th, 2001. Praise the Lord, they are saved and are now in glory!http://www.disciplemakerministries.org/PDF%20Files/Poems/A%20Garden%20of%20Memories.pdf
Members speerjp1
That was a great poem. I have a brother in Heaven who died in a car accident the week he returned from Iraq with the Marines in 2003. Your poem is so true and the word pictures are spot on. :thumb

I trust your Brother was saved. If so' date=' you will see him again soon. Each day of my life I can better understand Paul's words, " For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.[u']For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven: If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked. For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life. Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit. Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: (For we walk by faith, not by sight:) We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord" (II Corinthians 5:1-8, underlining added).
