Subconscious mental connection between blacks, apes may reinforce subtle discrimination.

Many U.S. citizens may not hold openly racist beliefs today, but they still may subconsciously link African Americans with apes because people still use words and metaphors that subtly reinforce a less-than-human bias and endorse violence against Blacks, according to a new study.

Problem #1. The first three tests used college students. College students are under the mind control of acedemia which is notoriously Liberal. Liberalism is rampant with racism. It's unfair to judge the general population by kids who are under the influence of the kind of powerful and blatant racism in Liberal acedemia.

Problem #2. Blacks have dark faces (by and large) so do apes and monkeys. Showing a person a fleeting climpse of a Black person's face, then asking them to match the image with blurry images, one of which is a dark ape images, is obviously going to link them simply by the superficial similarities of shading.

Problem #3. Charactitures of Condaleeza Rice, Colin Powell and Clarence Thomas have been ape-like, because most of them are done by Liberals, who are extremely racist. I haven't yet seen any charactitures of Barack Obama, so I have no idea if they are apelike, or if the author is simply projecting their own impressions.

Problem #4. Most people (BLack and white) are disgusted with the rampant violence among many Black people. So the comparison would not be based on skin color or facial characteristic, but the animal like violence displayed by so many Black hoodlums who seem to have no idea how much damage they are doing to honest, decent Black people.

All in all, the article comes across as yet another mindless attempt by racist Liberals to spread more white guilt in an effort to assuage their own deep-seated racism.

I was wondering if they tested this only on white people. The test would not be accurate if black people received the same results as white. It would just mean the eyes can be decieving.

Actually I read a book by Creationist Ken Ham and it is true that racism is actually rooted in evolutionary teaching for that very reason...that blacks are technically slightly closer to our "ancestors" than whites.

For balance, I went to a regular comprehensive school in the UK and then went on to study evolutionary biology at uni, and I never came across any "evolutionary teaching" that proposed that any particular race of humans was closer to our "ancestors" than any other. From what I know of what various friends and colleagues were taught, I don't think they came across what you are suggesting they were taught either. I can't speak for other countries of course, including the US.

No its not taught now...it was taught a very long time ago (or assumed) and is like sort of a subconscious foundation for racism. Basically the foundation for slavery and etc. Obviously not anymore.

They used to do this mostly to the Aborigines. They are always looking for the missing link that will connect human to another species (such as the hobbit.. although they are having debate over it). If there was another species connecting to human, just how intellient are they? are they smart as humans or smart as a chimpazee? or do humans and chimpazee have the same intelligent?
