Members JerryNumbers
Its in our hymn book, Heavenly Highway Hymns, copyrighted 1956. Here is another old one, have you heard it? Each day I'll do a golden deed, By helping those who are in need, My life on earth is but a span, And so I'll do the best I can, The best I can. Life's evening sun is sinking low, A few more days and I must go To meet the deeds that I have done, Where there will be no setting sun. To be a child of God each day, My light must shine along the way; I'll sing His praise while ages roll And strive to help some troubled soul, Some troubled soul. Life's evening sun is sinking low, A few more days and I must go To meet the deeds that I have done, Where there will be no setting sun. The only life that will endure, Is one that's kind and good and pure; And so for God I'll take my stand, Each day I'll lend a helping hand, A helping hand. Life's evening sun is sinking low, A few more days and I must go To meet the deeds that I have done, Where there will be no setting sun. I'll help someone in time of need, And journey on with rapid speed; I'll help the sick and poor and weak, And words of kindness to them speak, Kind words I'll speak. Life's evening sun is sinking low, A few more days and I must go To meet the deeds that I have done, Where there will be no setting sun. While going down life's weary road, I'll try to lift some traveler's load; I'll try to turn the night to day, Make flowers bloom along the way, The lonely way. Life's evening sun is sinking low, A few more days and I must go To meet the deeds that I have done, Where there will be no setting sun.http://members.tripod.com/~Synergy_2/ly ... utlif.html

I love it! My favorite version is sung by the Chuck Wagon Gang. William Golden also wrote "To Canaan's Land I'm On My Way" in 1914. Members JAHinton
1Co 15:12-20 Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead? But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen: 14 And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain. 15 Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not. 16 For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised: 17 And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins. 18 Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished. 19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. 20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. Members 2 TIm 2:15
There are many who hold to the thought Jesus never defeated the grave, that He died and that was all there was to it. Some think Jesus was stolen from the grave by some of His followers. So what about you, Did Jesus really rise from the grave, or was that just another conspiracy? I'm asking this because its amazing to me at the many Christians that believes the many conspiracy theories that some come up with here in this United States, many of them just out right stupid. Some people will accept any conspiracy theory that man can come up with. and most conspiracies are built on something that the child of God should have no part of, gossip. For instant, there was no air planes that flew into the WTC, it was a total conspiracy. That white man invented aids to kill black people. I found it humorous and not really humorous. To those Christians who believe in conspiracy theories: Remember if it wasn't for the resurrection we will all still be in our sins and condemned to hell and the Lake of Fire for all eternity. 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 plainly states the resurrection and the Gospels also give an account of it. The disciples also suffered a horrible death for proclaiming it. it would be stupid to die for a lie but more importantly it is unwise to doubt the clear words of our Lord who speaks truth and cannot lie (Titus 1:2). It is blasphemous to say that any part of the Bible is a conspiracy. "No prophecy of scripture is of any PRIVATE INTERPRETATION" 2 Peter 1:20 Please exercise discernment and remember that any man made conspiracy theory (true and untrue) is rooted in SIN.
