Where are the teens?!

Recommended Posts

Dont be too happy about growing up, I was in your spot too, can't wait till I am over the hill (18) into adult life, out of school with my HSD, got my own place, my own car, a future wife. But here I am now, 20 years old, living on my own, working on getting car (its hard with gas going up that makes me not want a car in the first place!), and I notice I am busy more then I figure I would be when I got out of school, so I don't have time for a young Christian lady just yet! And with all you teenagers growing up, its going to be harder for all of you to make it on your own yourself (unless you come a rich family :2cents ). So if I could turn the time back, I would be happy to be a teenager and let my parents take the blame for my actions (I'm kidding about that, don't give your parents a hard time as it is, they had to put up with you in their house for 18 years!)

Well, my goal is to be happy with what I currently have from God. And I can't go back in time, so I have to learn to be happy with my current age. It's not I'm anxiously anticipating getting older, but I'm just trying to enjoy now for now. I've got half a year to go as a teen and there's absolutely nothing I can do about that, so there's no reason in trying.

Living on your own, working and supporting yourself isn't easy. But neither is living with your family, and working to support all of them. My mom is a widow and I'm the only one with an income right now. And even though I make more than a lot of people my age, I can't afford a car or any of the things I wish I could. Happiness, or more specifically, joy isn't an age or lack of responsibility, it's satisfaction in what God gives you and satisfaction in God Himself (but it isn't always easy).

I'm not a teen, but I'm still a young adult... Only 21... and trust me... it's not that big of a deal when you turn 21.

I thought it was but I mean come on, now that I'm saved and have no desire to drink alcohol... I am like "Boy that was a waste of breath when I got so excited about my 21st birthday... it's really not that big of a dea."

I didnt knew your from WV deafbaptist. I was born in Huntington, WV, home of the Marshall college football team! Also the same place back in 1967 when the Marshall football team plane crash on 10/14/1967, everyone should watch "We Are Marshall", one of the guys in the white suits at the plane crash is my grandfather. The movie is a true story, but it doesnt tell the whole truth. The plane was not struck by lighting, the pilot was flying too low and crashing into a hill. My family has many ties to that movie and crash, that if I want to play football, I can get on very fast on the Marshall "Thunderhorde" football team. Also, the movie was too peacefull, the true story is that their were fights and everything none stop, and what happen on the football team when one guy hit the other, it broke out into a big fight, not what you see in the movie.

Yea I go to Concord University in Athens...

And that's the whole thing of HollyWEIRD... It never shows the whole/true story...

I haven't watched the whole movie... but I think one of my old interpreters (LeighAnn) was one of the mourners in the movie... She was so excited to be in it but we all know it was a sad story...
