A Chinese citizen cannot buy a bible in the open market.

Bibles can be purchased at churches or seminaries.

Amity Printing Company is the only government licensed bible printer and started printing bibles in 1988 in an agreement with the United Bible Societies.

People of faith are under attack in China.

Why then, do large American companies have their bibles printed in China?

* Thomas Nelson and Sons (Harper Collins)

* Zondervan (Harper Collins)

* Holman Bible Publishers

* Tyndale House

Others?

Must be a lot cheaper for them to do so.

Bible publishers that don’t print in China include InterVarsity Press [IVP], St. Ignatius Press, St. Benedict Press, Cambridge University Press, R. L. Allan & Son, Schuyler Bibles, Church Bible Publishers, and Local Church Bible Publishers.

Are there not inexpensive printers in other parts of the free world like South Korea and Taiwan?

These companies seem to be not that concerned with government oppression.

Bibles printed printed in China help the number of bibles increase worldwide.

At this time I can't decide if printing great quantities of bibles and oppression are together an overall good thing or not.

Are bibles really banned in China? I've heard that bibles aren't banned but what you teach from the Bible can get you into trouble with the Party.
