Members mortisham
FOR VERA ADAMS September 18, 1929-May 8 2008 Open the windows of Heaven Swing the door open wide A soul will soon be arriving With the angels as her guide Her life has been filled with goodness Her faith has kept her strong As she walks the paths of glory In His hands she will belong Let the sun shine brightly for her Let there be peace within her soul For she knows what?s beyond the Heaven As she reaches her final goal. Her family and friends are there waiting St. Peter at the gate To welcome God?s child to His Kingdom With gold stars upon her plate When the trumpet sounds she will answer Yes Lord I am coming home I am ready willing and waiting No more my soul to roam. Members Jerry
Thank you, Susan, for sharing that poem from your heart. I hope all is well with you - especially with your soul. I know you have not had it easy the last few years, but the Lord is always faithful - and always there for us to lean upon. Is it well with your soul? God bless you, my friend. It Is Well With My Soul (Lyrics: H.G. Spafford; Music: Philip P. Bliss) 1) When peace, like a river, attendeth my way, When sorrows like sea billows roll; Whatever my lot, Thou has taught me to say, It is well, it is well, with my soul.Chorus: It is well, with my soul, It is well, with my soul, It is well, it is well, with my soul. 2) Though Satan should buffet, though trials should come, Let this blest assurance control, That Christ has regarded my helpless estate, And hath shed His own blood for my soul. 3) My sin, oh, the bliss of this glorious thought! My sin, not in part but the whole, Is nailed to the cross, and I bear it no more, Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, O my soul! 4) For me, be it Christ, be it Christ hence to live: If Jordan above me shall roll, No pang shall be mine, for in death as in life Thou wilt whisper Thy peace to my soul. 5) But, Lord, ?tis for Thee, for Thy coming we wait, The sky, not the grave, is our goal; Oh trump of the angel! Oh voice of the Lord! Blessed hope, blessed rest of my soul! 6) And Lord, haste the day when my faith shall be sight, The clouds be rolled back as a scroll; The trump shall resound, and the Lord shall descend, "Even so," it is well with my soul. Guest Guest
I am so sorry to hear this news. I will also keep you and your family in prayer today. The Beatitudes---From The Sermon on the Mount Matthew 5:3-12...Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. Blessed are the peacemaker: for they shall be called the children of God. Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you. You will see her in Heaven one day! May the love of Our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, be with you and yours today and always! candlelight
