I started this topic mostly to ask @Jerry if the floods in BC are affecting him or his church at all. Figured it could work for any other disaster/weather-ish things people want to share.

Well, I'm not Jerry, and I don't live in BC...but I can tell you this time of year here in Tennessee (USA) usually wet. We've had some rain, but not as much as usually comes. When it's like this and the temps are as high as they've been, we have ice storms and snow during the winter. We're looking for that to happen here this year. It also usually leads to flooding in February. We live very near a creek, and it floods into our back yard and side yard, flooding the fields behind us as well.

Not me personally - in the sense that it is not near my apartment (it is on the north-east end of my town, on the highway and I live in the middle basically). However, yes, my church has not had services for the last several weeks as the preacher lives in a nearby town on the other side of some of the flooding. Lord willing, it looks like he should be able to travel to Abbotsford tomorrow for the church services.

It has definitely been discouraging to not be able to connect physically with those from my church - most of the few remaining people we have still attending with all this Covid junk are older and don't really use email or cell phones to stay in contact. We will see how things go in the morning.

I think the floods are finally settling down - yet, today was our first day of snow, so that can bring its own problems with all the flooding and damaged roads.
