Should our military take action now, do what ever it takes to get the 17 Christians out.

Not to sound unkind or harsh, but NO, our military should stay out of it. It's not our militaries job to invade other countries to save missionaries. It is the responsibility of the government and people of that country to handle this situation. Our government should be working behind the scenes to try and effect the release of these people. Also, Christians should be praying for these people...God knows what is going on. Military involvement at this point would only aggravate and complicate the situation.

But if there if there’s no government to talk to then what. Pray yes, and act. Cannot show weakness to evil doers, there will be no pay outs.

Our government has stated for years that there would be "no payouts," yet we find that there WERE payouts. Not invading isn't showing weakness. We are not a part of that countries government...we have NO RIGHT to invade a country where those who've perpetrated these kidnapping aren't a part of their government. There are times to invade, and times not to. This isn't a time to invade. These missionaries knew the risks when they went to the field. Kidnapping and death are always possibilities. I'm not saying it's right, but, it's the possibility for them. There is ALWAYS some sort of governing body...It's the question of whether or nor they've abdicated their responsibility.
