Totoo, that is a Crucifix. It is not something that born again Christians should have. Catholics use these and they are idols. This depicts a Savior still on the Cross, but our Savior is not on the cross, He is risen ad on the right hand of God the Father.

Dear Jim,

I had no idea!

Thanks so much for letting me know.

To me, this is a sign of Jesus Christ as my Saviour, besides many other things and this is actually the photo of my own pendant that i wear at all times around my neck. It helps me keep in touch with the Lord at all times, is that bad?

If you must, a simple cross would be better. But no cross would be even better. 

The way to keep in touch with our Lord at all times is through prayer.
