Help with Doubt and Anxiety

Guest Kaden

Question

So I’ve been asking Christians this a lot lately, but no matter how many spiritual highs I get, evidence that is proven to me, I always have some doubt.

i considered Catholicism but I found their doctrine is false and I disagree with them on a lot of things, and I’m a converted atheist to Protestantism. I’m in a baptist home and I like it that way. Why does God then give me doubt or allow doubt to plague me?

Im having anxiety and doubt about death and more the process of dying. Near Death Experiences used to comfort me but I soon found out that people who are dying have hallucinations and they see all sorts of things, light at the end of the tunnel, family, afterlife experiences, so I can’t find comfort in them.

I pray to God and I ask for comfort and it works for a while but eventually it fades. Why is this happening and why am I experiencing this? I have a strong faith in God so why am I scared of dying and the process of dying?

I hear the senses slowly go as you lose sight, taste, hearing, and the feeling of touch. Why would God let this plague me so? I ask Christians but all they say is “Don’t fear death because God is with you” but I still do it anyway. I can’t control it and it’s not on purpose. I feel lost and scared and I don’t know what to do.
