Members Jordan Kurecki
Titus 1:5-6 KJV [5] For this cause left I thee in Crete, that thou shouldest set in order the things that are wanting, and ordain elders in every city, as I had appointed thee: [6] If any be blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children not accused of riot or unruly. 1 Timothy 3:1-5 KJV [1] This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work. [2] A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach; [3] Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous; [4] One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity; [5] (For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?) by definition a woman cannot be “the husband of one wife”. Administrators Jim_Alaska Posted September 8, 2019 Administrators Share Posted September 8, 2019 So, in actuality, the Bible does not say anything about women being pastors. There is no such thing in the Bible. Any case of a woman being called a pastor is an invention of man. Members 2bLikeJesus
1 Corinthians 14:34-35 (KJV) 34 Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law. 35 And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church. heartstrings and Alan
Members HappyClappy
1 Tim 2:12 (ESV) - I do not permit a woman to teach or to exercise authority over a man; rather, she is to remain quiet.
Administrators Jim_Alaska Posted September 9, 2019 Administrators Share Posted September 9, 2019 Obviously Mr. Happy, you have not visited the forums rules section. I suggest you visit it before posting any more. Your last post contains a Scripture reference that is from a bible version that is not permitted here. Here is the rule that forbids this by the site owner: "Feel free to quote the Bible, if you do we ask that you use the KJV. This is done to avoid confusion. The Administrators and Moderators of this site believe that the KJV is Gods preserved Word for the English speaking people, and we ask that you respect that and use the KJV when quoting scripture." It is also customary for new members to introduce them selves in the introduction forum, which you have not done.
