I do have to admit to constantly not being able to find utensils that are right under my nose, its embarrassing. 

I resemble all you just stated. I stood looking for a knife for ten minutes the other day only to come to the realization that I was holding it in my other hand! LOL! Oh for dumb, as they'd say in Minnesota.
