And the God of peace [shall bruise Satan UNDER YOUR FEET] shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen. (Romans 16:20)

The Greek verb syntribo means to bruise or to crush; and in the context of this verse it means to deal a "fatal" blow to the adversary. Survivalists are known for their expertise on how to deal with deadly creatures in the wilderness. When encountering a serpent, they would often decapitate the head and bury it under a pile of dirt or sand, because the serpent can still sink its fangs into them -- even without their bodies. I thought to myself . . . why not just CRUSH the head of the serpent instead? Wouldn't the One who created ALL life know better?

God Bless!
