Administrators Jim_Alaska Posted February 23, 2018 Administrators Share Posted February 23, 2018 Surrender or surrendered is not a biblical word. As such it is a made up word meant to justify a made up doctrine. Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Seems pretty clear to me. I would approve the basics of the Brother Van Gelderen's answer. I would suggest that a more full answer would require that the details be "fleshed out" a bit more. Members swathdiver
I surrendered (quit fighting against) when I made repentance to God and put my trust/faith in Jesus Christ.
Members Pastorj
Surrender as it is typically preached is a post salvation response. I can receive Christ and repent, without immediately surrendering to God's will for my life. I was saved when I was 10, but surrendered to God's will at 19.
