Members Joe Coley
I am not sure if this has been covered, but I was wandering if you all might tell whether your church allows clapping in the services ? what has been your experience or view of clapping in worship meetings. do you believe its appropriate for some worship, all ,or none at all? I am interested to see where churches stand today on the issue . thanks
Members No Nicolaitans
What kind of clapping? Clapping as in clapping along to music? Clapping as in applauding a performance by a singer? Or clapping (as some churches do) to applaud the preacher when he says something they like?
Members Joe Coley
that is the question: is it allowed for some worship like maybe just for song specials, or for groups that sing , or for preaching, or for the choir songs or for just keeping beat.... what do you do in your church? Members No Nicolaitans
Oh...okay. Personally...some of it I'm fine with; some of it I don't think should happen, but I'm not going to stir up strife over it.
Members 1Timothy115
My local church... We don't have inappropriate clapping...never have heard it. Most of the time I don't have any problem with clapping unless it would occur at a time critical to the message and Holy Spirit swathdiver
Members swathdiver
We rarely, if ever, clap. We say "AMEN!" and "THAT's RIGHT!" Edited June 12, 2017 by swathdiver
