Members heartstrings
One end of my tractor's drawbar was broken off and it could no longer hold a linch pin.. So I found an old nut and welded it on....Not too pretty but it works. :) No Nicolaitans
Administrators Jim_Alaska Posted June 7, 2017 Administrators Share Posted June 7, 2017 I have always found that if it works I have succeeded, it doesn't have to look pretty. No Nicolaitans, heartstrings and Alan
Members Alan
Heartstings, You have a farmers frame of mind (that is a compliment). Only a farmer would have thought of that. heartstrings

Members DaveW
There was a TV series over here called "Bush Mechanics" where they followed some aborigines as they drove wrecks around the outback and fixed them with whatever they could find. It is a long while since I saw any of it, so I am not sure about language, and it is definitely a worldly show, but the things they could fix with fencing wire and junk and no real tools was amazing. As for rednecking stuff - I have a broom holder stopping the rear mount spare tyre of my landcruiser from unlatching and swinging out while I drive. One of these days I will paint it black like the rest of the bumper and no one will ever know..... one of these days...  heartstrings, Alan and No Nicolaitans
