1. In everyday life, how do you use the Bible?

2. How do Baptists, apply the principles learnt from Bible into their own lifestyle and experiences?

3. How should adherents interpret the Bible?

1. Every morning I have a personal devotion, time of prayer and reading.

2. The precepts and the commandments have direct impact on my daily conduct, communication, and interaction with others.

3. You make this somewhat difficult. I agree with and practice Baptist distinctives based on what God has revealed to me through His word by the Holy Spirit. I am an 'adherent' only to God's Word. There are five principles I've been taught to use in studying the Bible (#1) author's audience/reason (#2) basic sense of the text (#3) context or agreement of scripture (#4) scripture explains itself be patient (#5) read it literally unless #2 tells you it is figurative or symbolic.

I fail daily to meet the example of Jesus Christ, the author and finisher of my faith. I have to spend a lot of my day asking for God to strengthen me against the failings of my mortal body.

How about you?
