Members 1611mac
Just a comment.... It's sad that so many King James Bibles no longer include the dedicatory. Wondering... Could it be that publishers are afraid of losing sales if the dedicatory were there? Here is a line from the dedicatory: So that if, on the one side, we shall be traduced by Popish Persons at home or abroad, who therefore will malign us, because we are poor instruments to make God’s holy Truth to be yet more and more known unto the people, whom they desire still to keep in ignorance and darkness; It's not Scripture but it still blesses my heart! If you have never read it, here it is. Is it in your Bible? THE EPISTLE DEDICATORY

There would be far more editions of the KJV that do not include the translators' preface to the 1611 [The Translators to the Reader] along with several other items in the 1611 than do not include the dedication to King James I.
