The Hebrew text say 40 years. So 40 YEARS may not be literal 40 years (Ezekiel 4:4-6) just like "weeks" in the bible are not always literal weeks. or... 40 years could be in reference to David. Absalom's rebellion takes place approximately 40 years after David's slaying Goliath when David first captured the heart's of the men of Israel.
