What do you think about Mid-Acts Dispensationalism?

This is a website of the minister that taught me all about the KJB and it's enemy translations.

I learned a lot from him while listening to him preach at our church in the mid 80's, as well as on the radio and multiple cassette tapes. (remember those??)

With what little I've read about "mid-Acts Dispensationalism", I personally don't agree with it...but that's me. From what I've seen, MADs tend to be hyper-dispensationalists. I looked over the link that you gave, but I couldn't find any written information...seems to all be audio. Unfortunately, I can't comment on the site or his/their beliefs, because just to be honest, I'm not interested in taking the time to listen. LOL!

What are the main points in his mid-Acts theology? What great thing happened mid-acts to change the plan Christ laid out?

I tend to believe the Church started when Christ was baptized by John the Baptist and then was empowered in Acts 2. I believe Christ gave the time frame for the Church age being empowered by receiving of the Holy Ghost until he returns to give the kingdom back to Israel. The Church is essentially completing Christ's earthly witness while Jesus is in Heaven. Paul has no power to change what Christ has started he can only confirm and expound on what Christ and the Prophets have already spoken. Essentially Paul's work, letters, and revelation of mysteries is simply him explaining the scriptures in light of the completed works and continuing ministry of Christ. Paul changed nothing of Christ's started work but rather helped them understand the N.T dynamics which started with Christ as opposed to the O.T. which ended with John the Baptist. The cross being the finality of O.T. reality.

The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach, 2 until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen: 3 to whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:4 and, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me. 5 For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.

6 When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel? 7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. 8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judæa, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

9 And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. 10 And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; 11 which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

From what I understand of MADism, it was Saul's conversion in Acts 9...which (to them) signifies a turning point away from what is claimed to be salvation granted through Jewish Law and/or works mixed with grace...unto salvation by grace alone (and the introduction of the church). That's simply put, but I hope you understand the gist of it.
