Important! Live poll on MSNBC

I just voted and it's 50/50. That's sounds about right. The nation is pretty much split about the direction we should go. Half want socialism, the other half want capitalism. Putting "In God We Trust" on our money acknowledges that the state is not supreme, a concept in direct contradiction to socialism.

I wouldn't trust that poll to be even close to accurate. As a matter of fact, MSN even includes a disclaimer about the accuracy of their polls. Online polls are extremely unreliable. Just think of all the polls Ron Paul won, a LOT. But when it came down to real, true, undeniable polling, he lost pretty bad. One has to take into account the kind of audience a particular website will attract, the level of interest in a poll that many see as not being important or a waste of time(and they probably are right), the age of the poll(a three year poll cannot be relied upon to be accurate) and a host of other factors.

And to think nearly every time they run a poll it comes back with about 80% of Americans believe in a god.

Notice I put a little g on god, for there is no doubt the majority of Americans do not believe in the living God, the Father of Jesus Christ.

But them maybe several who looked at it thought it was an old poll and thought it was worthless to vote in it. Seems at least 2 members of OB thought that,

Even though we came out with a small margin of victory, I'm extermly proud and even surprised at that.

It IS an old poll, it's just that people don't want to argue with you. If you look at the CACHE of the poll you'll see it's been around a while.

If you do a search of it you'll see it's making it's rounds on Atheist sites, etc. and has been for a LONG TIME.

I don't expect you to believe this, accept it, or even acknowledge it. Here is a post on a blog from 2006 referencing this poll: http://theresafrasch.com/archives/192 at the time of the writing TWO YEARS AGO, it was 86% for keeping it and 14% for getting rid of it. I guess we've really fallen in two years.

Like I said if you look it up it's making it's rounds again, my bet is that it came in one of those emails...

I told Kevin not to waste his time arguing with you Jerry, and now I guess I am going against my own advice, but I see you still have a problem with always pointing fingers.

I won't hold my breath for an apology.

Here's another:

Ok, I am done, these are out there folks if you look deep enough.

Let's stop the appeals to emotion and LIVE like we TRUST IN GOD, and let the godless government put what they may on the money.

THAT'S the fight we need to fight. The fight in our OWN LIVES and not point the finger at how wicked everyone else is.

The Bible is supposed to be a mirror and not window... it's supposed to reflect OUR true image to us... to allow us to see ourselves as God does.

For everyone who voted in the Live Poll on MSNBC the final vote last night was.

49% voted to take In God We Trust off our money
51% voted to keep In God We Trust on our money

Thanks be that we come out on top, but that is a very close margin, perhaps many Christians do not watch MSNBC and knew nothing about it taking place last night. The only reason I was aware of it a friend from Central Arkansas sent me an email telling me that was taking place last night. As soon as I clicked on it I headed over here to try and get some of you to vote in it, because we the atheist were in the lead at that time.

To view the final results of last nights poll click on this link.

Kevin, I refuse to argue with you on this one, if you can't see that the poll on MSNBC took place last night I can't help you.

I rightly not arguing with anyone, not even you.
