Regarding "celialove"

Thank you to all of you who reported the private messages you received from "celialove". Moderators also received them, and Jim_Alaska banned her as soon as he became aware of it yesterday.

Sadly, this type of thing happens sometimes on the board. However, members who take the time to report things like this in a timely manner help us keep things clean - especially if moderators don't receive the messages.

That's up to you, Rosie. It's most likely a good idea just in case you are the only one receiving one, just so we know there's a spammer aboard and can deal with it.

I guess I was special to her. I had just started reading the message she sent, and BAM...I got another one from her, but it was worded slightly different.

You have to wonder why people need to do that kind of stuff. I guess life just isn't busy enough for them. I'm glad "she's" been banned - and hope "she" doesn't come back under another name.

Some of it is sex online. It could also be getting someone to respond then escalating into the Nigerian money scheme.

i didn't even read it as i knew it wasn't going to be good. I will report it if it ever happens again, this isn't the first time i have gotten these messages

I got it too, noticed the word "kindly". Probably a "419" (Nigerian) scam.

Since 'she' requested an email to her account, it may also be a way to return an email with a virus in it. BAd stuff.

A question for the moderators.

On my profile page, under, "Recent Profile Visitors," her profile avatar shows up. I have already deleted her messages on my profile page, is it possible to delete her avatar profile picture? Can a moderator delete her profile avatar photo?  Is so, please delete it on my profile page.

Another mod must have taken care of it Alan. When I looked the avatar was gone.

Since yesterday, on both my LInux OS computer, and my Windows 7 OS computer, except for one or two, the avatars on all of the pages do not show up. Instead I get an, "X' where the photo should be and the "X" will not give me any commands to upload the image. Below is a screen shot on my profile page. I checked another site and I did not notice an avatar problem, nor did I change any of the settings (to my knowledge), on either computer.

Maybe, I need to forget asking celialove's avatar being removed as the fix created a bigger problem.

I enjoy seeing everybody else's avator.
