While many professing Christians ignore the connection between current events and portions of the Bible that were written thousands of years ago, my advice is that […] The post Scoffers Will Come appeared first on . Members John81
Is this end times scoffing to be viewed as a worldwide thing, nation or region or people specific? Many years ago I was reading of the scoffers in "Christian Europe" being a sign of the end. These days it's often the abundance of scoffers in America that are pointed to as a sign of the end. While Europe and most Western nations are becoming filled with scoffers, in many other areas of the world Christ and the Bible are believed and embraced. Members Alan
The article by Lighthouse Trails Research is well worth reading. Neither Lighthouse Trails Research, nor the article they quoted from Roger Oakland, is sensational. "Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things coninue as they were from the beginning of the creation." 2 Peter 3:3 & 4 There are an abundance of scoffers all over the world and not only in America or Europe. Please notice, the Apostle Peter first said that the scoffers were walking in their own lusts, verse3, and then in verse 4 he goes on to give us just one illustration about the promise of the coming of Christ. The scoffers are not limited in only scoffing about the Second Coming. Ever look at the scoffers in the churches? Making fun, or scoffing, not only of the end times, but also of the KJV Bible, scoffing at soul-winners passing out tracts, scoffing at those who are trying to look like a Christian, smell like a Christian, and talk like a Christian. You know why some saints do not go soul-winning? Because the are scoffed at by those at church. If a saint in many churches cleans up his speech, gets a haircut, takes a bath on a regular basis, and wheres a suit to church, he is made fun of and called a 'Pharisee.' If a saint, horrors of horrors, wears a tie to church, he is scoffed at and called a Pharisee. If a saint decides to give a tithe and offering he is called, "following a God-robber," and, plainly told, "titihing was for the Jews only," "following a man," and the usual, "Pharisee." In our age, all over the world, scoffing at those who are trying to dilgently serve the Lord is known all over. Think about it. Alan

When we look throughout history we see scoffers in every age and everywhere Christianity has spread there have been scoffers. At times there are more scoffers in some parts of the world than others, but there are always scoffers. Invicta
