This has been the goal of popes and the RCC for centuries. That's why they have willing embraced all sorts of pagan religions into their fold in order to get more people under the headship of the pope. Look at some of the stuff Catholics in Haiti, Philippines, India and elsewhere are involved in, all outright or more quietly supported or promoted by the RCC for them to have them under the pope.

Since the modern rise of Islamic power the pope has been reaching out to certain Imans, and paving the road for future connections.

"Conservative" Pope John Paul II began this modern era effort to get the world to embrace the pope as a "higher than others" spiritual leader. Unfortunately, many Christians here in America swallowed that poison drink and we see the fruit of that all around us.

"Chopra says that “millions of non-Catholics feel a fresh wind blowing” because of the Pope’s actions and that Pope Francis has “become a spiritual exemplar.”"

Yeah, I think that 'fresh wind' is all the gas and hot air blowing when he speaks. Best to stand upwind from him when he opens his mouth.

I read a few articles where catholicism was attempting to draw muslims in (some are calling this "chris-lam"). They've converted many former catholic churches into mosques. They then try some mix-and-match religious practices.  Catholics should be fine with this since they when they took over Rome, they just renamed the pagan statues after supposed saints, and even the mother/child statue of a past pagan "godess" was renamed to supposedly be "mary" and infant "jesus".  Many of the pagan festivals and practices were also renamed. So I can totally "get" why they have no problem turning over their former catholic churches to muslims... rather fitting, actually. All of which are an abomination to God. The ecumenical movement is gaining ground in many protestant churches as well. And it's another step closer to the antichrist's one world religion to come.

Speaking of chrislam, whatever happened to "America's pastor", Rick Warren? Haven't heard much out of him or about him lately.
