Okay, as of today, according to Dr. Hovind's son, Eric, all the remaining charges have been dropped, having been found without merit. It was done without prejudice,which means technically the charges can be brought up again, if refiled, but at this point, especially with the last having 3 of 4 charges producing a hung jury, it probably won't.

They are still waiting to see what will happen at the sentencing for his contempt conviction, but I suspect, if the other charges were dropped, this may go away, as well. But we'll see. I rarely trust the government to do the right thing. But its looking good right now.

Thank you for the update on Kent Hovind and you analysis of the charges. It is my sincere hope and prayer that the other pending sentencing charges are also dropped. if possible, keep us informed as I think all of us are hoping for a good outcome.

Just got an update that Brother Hovind will be home July 8th. While home he will be on home confinement for approximately a month. Also the will be holding a welcome party for anyone to come by on July 11th.

Yes, thanks. Just got that news last night but haven't had the time to get here to post it. Its about time! Now, if the government continues what it started in revising the structuring laws and practices, maybe he can be vindicated of the entire mess.

Unfortunatly, from what I have heard, any changes to the structuring laws probably will not be retroactive to cases already tried. These laws have been so abusedabused over the years in the favor of the government of not needing much prof to convict innocent or ignorant violators that any retroactive application would be very detrimental to the system.

Thank you for your analysis of the situation. You are probably right and time will tell.  I think though, all of us are very happy to know that Brother Kent Hovind will be let out of prison on July 8th. That is a wonderful blessing to him, his family, the ministry that God gave him and to us. We appreciate you helping us to keep abreast of the situaltion.

just blows my mind that HE is behind bars and Hillary Clinton isn't.... If his situation isn't the perfect poster boy for current US Christian persecution...Why does it even take that long? Why wasn't he out the day his charges were dropped?!

True, but any changes and admissions that they have been abused would at least give him the personal vindication to know it was wrong, and maybe some of the frightened preachers who backed away from him because he was a CONVICT now. And we ALL know, REAL Christians NEVER go to prison...amiright?

Hillary's final punishment will be much worse than prison. Prison might do her a lot of good.
