Members John81
Petty and childish, but much worse it's the type of thing that creates deep seated resentment in people while turning potential partners and allies into the arms of those who are, or one day will be, our greatest rivals.Considering the very poor quality of leaders in the West, it's little wonder they take such an unstatesmanlike stance.Since the break-up of the Soviet Union Russians have attempted to form friendship, partnerships and alliances with the West but have found the West determined to treat them like a crippled, hated enemy to be used and kicked around. Is it any wonder after over two decades of this Russian people, as well as the Russian president are fed up and unwilling to take such abuse and insults anymore?Look back at how Great Britain treated America after she won her independence. Great Britain treated America as a lowly country deserving no respect at all to the point of trampling upon America. This led to the War of 1812 because America finally had enough of it and chose to fight. After that war, Great Britain read the signs (as it were) and determined it was in her best interest to make friends with America. This served both nations well.Let's hope Russia doesn't get pushed to the point of war because such a war could be far more devastating than the War of 1812 and might not have such a good outcome.
