And he answered him and said, Thou sayest it.Matthew 27:11 And Jesus stood before the governor: and the governor asked him, saying, Art thou the King of the Jews? And Jesus said unto him, Thou sayest.Mark 15:2 And Pilate asked him, Art thou the King of the Jews? And he answering said unto him, Thou sayest it.John 18:33 Then Pilate entered into the judgment hall again, and called Jesus, and said unto him, Art thou the King of the Jews? 34 Jesus answered him, Sayest thou this thing of thyself, or did others tell it thee of me? 35 Pilate answered, Am I a Jew? Thine own nation and the chief priests have delivered thee unto me: what hast thou done? 36 Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence. 37 Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.Mark 15:9 But Pilate answered them, saying, Will ye that I release unto you the King of the Jews?John 18:39 But ye have a custom, that I should release unto you one at the passover: will ye therefore that I release unto you the King of the Jews?Mark 15:12 And Pilate answered and said again unto them, What will ye then that I shall do unto him whom ye call the King of the Jews?Matthew 27:29 And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head, and a reed in his right hand: and they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews!Mark 15:18 And began to salute him, Hail, King of the Jews!John 19:3 And said, Hail, King of the Jews! and they smote him with their hands.John 19:14 And it was the preparation of the passover, and about the sixth hour: and he saith unto the Jews, Behold your King! 15 But they cried out, Away with him, away with him, crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Shall I crucify your King? The chief priests answered, We have no king but Caesar.(Flase doctrine teaches because they rejected Jesus as King, He ceased to be King. They rejected Jesus as the Son of God, did He cease to be God's Son? They rejected Jesus as Savior, did He lose His power to save? 2 Timothy 2:13)Luke 23:36 And the soldiers also mocked him, coming to him, and offering him vinegar, 37 And saying, If thou be the king of the Jews, save thyself.Matthew 27:37 And set up over his head his accusation written, THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS.Mark 15:26 And the superscription of his accusation was written over, THE KING OF THE JEWS.Luke 23:38 And a superscription also was written over him in letters of Greek, and Latin, and Hebrew, THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS.John 19:19 And Pilate wrote a title, and put it on the cross. And the writing was, JESUS OF NAZARETH THE KING OF THE JEWS. 20 This title then read many of the Jews: for the place where Jesus was crucified was nigh to the city: and it was written in Hebrew, and Greek, and Latin. 21 Then said the chief priests of the Jews to Pilate, Write not, The King of the Jews; but that he said, I am King of the Jews. 22 Pilate answered, What I have written I have written.Mark 15:32 Let Christ the King of Israel descend now from the cross, that we may see and believe. And they that were crucified with him reviled him.(Christ means anointed one, Anointed the King of Israel) Act 17:6 And when they found them not, they drew Jason and certain brethren unto the rulers of the city, crying, These that have turned the world upside down are come hither also; 7 Whom Jason hath received: and these all do contrary to the decrees of Caesar, saying that there is another king, one Jesus. Members beameup
Jesus should have been anointed as King of the Jews upon his triumphal entry into Jerusalem riding on a donkey. Instead, he was crucified. However, he will be received as King of the Jews when he returns to earth from heaven with his mighty angels and the Body of Christ. For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord. Mat 23:39 Edited May 2, 2015 by beameup

The word Christ means anointed. Even in your own post you call Him anointed while rejecting His anointing. (body of anointed) There was a group in the Holy Bible that rejected Jesus' anointing, the chief priests. Mattew 23:39 was spoken to the scribes and Pharisees who controlled Jerusalem. They was the ones who told Jesus make the people stop. Luke 19:39 And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto him, Master, rebuke thy disciples. 40 And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out. He was received as King by lowly people. Matthew 21:5 Tell ye the daughter of Sion, Behold, thy King cometh unto thee, meek, and sitting upon an ass, and a colt the foal of an ass. Luke 19:38 Saying, Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest. John 12:13 Took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried, Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord. John 12:15 Fear not, daughter of Sion: behold, thy King cometh, sitting on an ass's colt.Their is no verse in the old testament that says the Messiah must be anointed by man. Even today man is rejecting God's anointing on Jesus. Even Jesus Himself said He was anointed by the Lord and they reject that. The doctrine that Jesus had to be anointed by man was invented by the Priests who rejected Jesus. They still use it today. Matthew 23:13 But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in. That is why it is so important that we teach the Holy Bible and how God anointed Jesus in the hope they might get saved.  Alan, Covenanter and Rebecca

Members Covenanter
Thanks, MC for this vital teaching. At Pentecost Peter preached Jesus Christ crucified, risen and ascended, Lord and Christ,  and the Jews from every nation under heaven were convicted. 3,000 repented that day and were baptised in the name of Jesus Christ. On the Emmaus road, Jesus taught that Christ had to suffer and enter his glory. John wrote his Gospel so that "ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing ye might have life through his name." This is a practical doctrine for our preaching, listening and believing, and our prayers - Acts 4:23-
Members beameup
What do you suppose Peter is preaching to Jews about, here in Acts 3?Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord; And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you: Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began. Acts 3:19-

That is what being converted means. The refreshing that comes from the presence of the Lord is the Holy Ghost. Jesus sent Him to us so we could be born again with the Spirit of God. Peter is preaching the same salvation that we have being born again. The times of restitution of all things is the Garden of Eden before man sinned. All things mean the whole earth not just the kingdom of David. That is why false teachers leave off "of all things". All His Holy Prophets since the world began, predates Abraham. False doctrine doesn't want the Jews to be born again or receive grace. These false teachers can't see the Kingdom of Heaven Jesus spoke about to Pilate, they only see the kingdom of David. When Jesus returns and sets up His Kingdom on earth it will be more than the kingdom of Israel, it will be part of Heaven on earth because He is God. DaveW, Invicta and Alan
Moderators Ukulelemike Posted May 4, 2015 Moderators Share Posted May 4, 2015 Jesus was, indeed, anointed King of Israel, King of the Jews, He just wasn't anointed by the people OF Israel, but by their God and Creator. THAT's the real anointing! David's anointing wasn't seen by, or recognized by Israel when he was anointed, but he was king just as sure as anything, because it was God that sent Nathaniel to anoint him. David WAS king, but he was a humble man and chose not to take his kingdom by force from Saul, who was also the Lord's anointed-that was for God to do, not himself, or the people. So God anointed Jesus His Son to be King of Kings and Lord of Lords-that the people reject has nothing to do with the fact-that He hasn't taken yet His earthly kingdom doen't matter a hill of proverbial beans-He IS King and Lord.
