Members ThePilgrim
This article is about an old happening but I put it in Current Events because in spite of all the precautions and all the double and triple checks, our military fail safe systems are all run by humans. It can happen today. There are those who say nuclear war cannot happen because our leaders are not that crazy or that stupid. That belief may make some feel safe and comfortable but is a false safety. Only God has kept the nukes from flying and only He can keep them from flying in the future. Will He always?http://english.kyodonews.jp/news/2015/03/343924.html
Members 1Timothy115
Obama, I believe takes his orders from the opposition. If he did launch I wonder which direction he would have them go. I don't even have a bunker!

Members John81
There was a similar incident in the Soviet Union in the 80s where a false launch order was issued but the Russian in charge didn't believe it to be accurate so refused to launch the missiles (at America). That officer was both commended for not launching and demoted, kicked out of the service and sent into obscurity for failing to follow orders!I think it was 2006 when an American missile site lost total control over the missiles at their base. Not only that, it's believed someone else may have had access to the controls at that time and could have caused a launch. While the military issued an official press statement claiming a major computer malfunction that was corrected within an hour, those who were working at the site say it took days and perhaps weeks to restore the entire system to their control. There was also an incident where one or more laptops were lost or stolen which had the launch codes stored in them.
