China finally speaks up

Taking sides!  Is it just because they are run by a bunch of commies or is it because they are pragmatists and they see what is waiting for them if they don't begin speaking out?

China is becoming more assertive on the world stage. She has the confidence of knowing she holds America's economic house in her hands, that her military is becoming ever more able to deal directly with the American military, and that much of the world is tired of what they see as America's attempt to force her will upon the world.

When Crimea voted to leave Ukraine China was quick to accept the results and recognize it as legitimate.

China knows the matter of Crimea and Ukraine is a very personal and of direct concern matter to Russia because of their location. At the same time, China knows America has no vital interest in what's occurring there.

If America pushes Russia and China into a much closer partnership and alliance, that would be a very dangerous matter. Presidents from Nixon to Reagan understood this and worked to avoid such.

Since the dissolution of the Soviet Union many American leaders have dismissed Russia as no longer a threat while at the same time ignoring the growing threat China is. Our leaders cower over what they say is about 35,000 ISIS fighters and wring their hands at how difficult it is to deal with them. Do they think  America would fair better facing a billion Chinese, a couple million Russians, advanced modern military systems and possible nuclear warheads? Not to mention the total, instant collapse of the American economy if China dumped all of America's debt on the market and refused to give America any more credit.

John81, You are correct in your analysis. China is a communist country bent on destroying anything in its path and will help the enemies of America, i.e., Russia, with their expansionist goals. America is one of the last bulwarks of democracy in the world. Even the watered down demonracy in America is better than the communist system of government in China.

The invasion of Iraq to destroy Saddam was not in the best interests of the United States, the Middle East, or the world. When a peoples emotions are inflamed, as much of America was after 9-11-01, it's easy for leaders to gain popular support for unwise wars.

The billions of dollars wasted, lives lost and the resulting chaos of the actions to oust Gaddafi in Libya was yet another act of war not beneficial to the United States, the Middle East or the world.

The entire region has been made unstable, millions of Christians have been raped, tortured, robbed, murdered and forced to flee their homes. Tribal and Islamic sectarian forces have been let loose to wreak havoc and fight to fill the power vacuums. Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Israel and Egypt are in greater danger today.

Policies which once maintained balances of power, stability, and took into account regional and local reality were cast aside for the sake of pride, hubris and greed.

Leaders of various nations, alliances and empires have long tried to play God but the truth of their great limitations always shows forth as they are unable to control even the smallest of things and they see their grand plans blow up in their faces.

Many have tried to dominate and rule the world, the Spanish, French, UK, Nazis, Soviet Union, America, etc., but none have succeeded but only made things worse.

Brethren, I stand by my post concerning China.

Covenanter, The article by John Pilger, Counter Punch, declaring that America is a facist coutry is incorrect and a lie. And, quite frankly, the whole article is a repulsive and hateful piece of journalism.  Articles such as Pilger's should not be allowed in a Christian thread. Pilger, and a lot of other folks, blame America for all of the ills in the world today and ignore the vile, wicked, evil, and Satanic leaders of the Muslim and communist countries. John 81, America was not the cause of 9/11. The Muslims were the cause. And, God has used the United States of America, starting with President Truman, to recognize, help, and give weapons to protect Israel from the Muslim countries surrounding her. The article is is a fact twisting lie.

I stand by my post. the communist leaders of China, and Russia, despise the United States for its stand for democracy (weak as it is due to our leaders). I am proud to a citizen of the United States of America. With all of its problems it is not a Facist country. Also, I am somewhat aghast, and saddened, at the non-patriotic attitude of some of the comments of this thread. I have personally been to communist China on numerous occasions and every time I visit to see with my own two eyes the ungodliness and terror of a communist regime. And, have personally seen the communists and their puppet ministers in State run churches.

'America, Love it or Leave It.' With all of its faults, America is still, if not the best, one of the best, countries God ever raised upon the face of this planet for the cause of the Lord Jesus Christ, missions, and evangelistic efforts. If you find that much fault with America than you have the freedom to leave it.

It is in the best interests for the United States, and democracy, to destroy, extemistic Islamic groups, repel the communist countries like Russia, from expansionist excursions into countries like Ukraine with the military arms to defend themselves.

Frankly,  I don't know whats going on.  I can pretend.  But I really don't know.  I pray Thy Kingdom come.  Thy Will be done.  

What all that entails. With this present world.  Once again I don't have a clue.  When I do pray that however.  Thy Kingdom come, Thy Will be done.   I'll try to stay out of the way.  His Kingdom come His Will be done.  Is the most important thing at this point.  In my opinion

The fact all these nations have attempted to dominate or rule the world doesn't equate their systems or reasons as being the same. What they have in common is their attempt to dominate or rule the world and their failure to be able to do so.

I joined the Air Force shortly after high school, glad to have been in while Reagan was President. I loved my country then, I love my country now. That doesn't mean I can't face reality.

America was formed as a Republic. The Founders specifically rejected Democracy as the worst form of government, knowing that all democracies eventually bloat and die. Those who have pushed America away from being a Republic and made her more into a democracy have done so to the ruining of America.

Sadly, America has lost her religious (Christian) moorings, her political moorings, and her cultural and societal moorings. Nothing short of a massive revival or another great awakening can save America. America is far removed not only from the country that was founded, but even far removed from the country it was when I was born. The country we are leaving to my children and grandchildren is a country moving more in the direction of Obamization and farther away from Jeffersonianism.

We need to spend more time spreading the Gospel and less time trying to force Democracy upon the world; or even ourselves.

Well, I suppose I should be kicked out of this forum because I think America is run by a bunch of oligarchs, who if they have there way will have all of us in a state of near poverty with just enough to eat to keep us working for slave wages.  However I do not think that the United States is the only country with this problem.  With globalism it is a worldwide problem.  You can go back to the post about the 80 people who control half or more of all the earths money and see what the situation is.  I am a born again Christian who loves the Lord and His people.  I some of the things I know to be facts irritate some to the point that it brings out a hateful spirit then maybe I should be kicked out.

I am not the sharpest tool in the shed, but I know when I am not welcome.

​There is a huge difference between loving a country and ones thoughts and feelings regarding the leadership.

Many Germans loved Germany but were against the Nazis. Many Russians loved Russia but hated communism. Many Americans love America but they can't stand the socialists and others who have corrupted the government.

Anyone reading the writings of Jefferson would know you addressing the reality of America today is something many of the Founders stood for then as well.

I am familiar with the discussion of Jefferson and Adams, the Federalist Papers and the intents of our founding Fathers. And, more importantly, I agree with them.

It is also correct that our current crop of leaders is trying desperately hard to get of our Constitution and embrace globalism. The sad fact is that the leaders of our country, liberalists, 'fellow travelers' of communism, and the multitides of Americans who love our welfare government, has strayed from the path our Founding Fathers started. This is very apparent.

But, I still stand by two above posts. Sin is the problem and a revival is the answer. 2 Chronicles is still in the Book.Those folks who know me understand my thoughts. The Lord Jesus has blessed America for numerous spiritual reasons. Like King David, he used the weapons of war that God blessed him with for the physical protection of the children of Israel.

I too joined the Air force after graduation from High School in order to protect my country. I also left the Air Force for one reason; that reason was to serve the Lord as a missionary to the country that God called me too. We can both love, defend, and fight for our country and serve the Lord Jesus under freedom due to the sacrifices of our men and women in uniform. May God Bless America; The Land that I Love.
