Moderators Ukulelemike Posted January 30, 2015 Moderators Share Posted January 30, 2015 While I am fascinated by the discovery of the fragment of Mark's gospel, I am also wary. I don't trust dating methods, though the younger something is,the more accurate they tend to be. But I still don't trust it. So if it comes up as following the Alexandrian, I won't be shocked, because I don't know that I believe they dated it accurately. It is a curious item, no more. If it follows the TR, all the better, but still, ultimately not all that important, UNLESS it covers the last of the final chapter, which all the new versions declare to have been added later-THAT would be sweet! Of course, then all the 'scholars' and 'experts' would declare it to be a later fake. Can't trust anyone.
