Much of the mainstream history of WWII is nothing more than false propaganda. The truth is typically much different than the official history given.

The Red Army being credited with liberating captives from the Germans was begun by Stalin, while leaving out how many former captives of the Germans the Red Army raped, shipped to Siberia or murdered.

Had the American military not been hampered by Eisenhower's inept running of the military and his political ambitions, American forces could have taken all of Germany several months sooner than the war's eventual end date which would have saved millions of lives.

Had FDR not foolishly trusted Stalin, even while betraying his staunchest ally (Churchill/Great Britain) millions would not have found themselves under the iron heel of Stalin at wars end.

"The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun." Ecclesiastes 1:9

Politiicans, worldly people, businessmen, religious leaders, fleshly saints, etc... have always re-written history to favor their side, beliefs, or political agendas.

We need to always remember that God inspired, and preserved, the Bible. By the way, the Authorized Vesion, KJV 1611, is the PRESERVED word of God.

God never promised to preserve correct  history. At the Judgment Seat God will bring out all of the religious lies and historical lies of men throughout the ages and deal with the liars at that time; not before.

I think the most important lesson to learn from the terrible history of the 20th century is that mankind unlike some people would like to believe is not improving but is in a downward spiral.  The man that God created is not the man that is and the man that is only becoming worse.  The conversation on this talk show brought home to me the truth about the legacy of the last century.  The second world war did not triumph over the Nazis.  The Nazis still survive in the world today, especially in Eastern Europe.  The worst part of the realization that the Nazis are growing in power and will continue is the knowledge of who is supporting them and encouraging them.  It is the U.S. who seems to be their biggest backer.  The biggest nest of Nazis is in the Ukraine and the Balkans.

The American Left and Nazism has many connections. The reason the American Left embraced communism but not Nazism is based upon the Nazis being nationalists, something the Left hates, as well as being "conservative/traditional" in some aspects. Otherwise, the socialist aspects of Nazism is right up the Lefts alley, as is the idea of making a perfect or utopian world (though the Lefts vision of such differs from the Nazis vision, but only by degrees and details).

We should remember early 20th century America was busy exploring the possibilities of eugenics in creating an American utopia. Germany sent people to America to study these matters and many of the eventual Nazi programs in this area were heavily influenced by what they saw and read of in America. Prior to WWII in many places in America "undesirables" were being involuntarily, sometimes unknowingly, made incapable of having children. Such was done to blacks, those with various physical and mental handicaps, and others. Abortion was being promoted as a means of reducing the black and white trash populations. Experiments were being performed on those in asylums and hospitals with regard to human engineering of "perfect people". The Nazis took these ideas and ran with them. It was the worldwide outcry against such that brought down these things in America. However, the underlying ideology remained and we have seen the re-emergence of such over the past several decades.

One of the main lessons we failed to learn from the wars of the 20th century is that we can't control the world and even the leaders of "good nations" are flawed and sinful. WWI should have been a very local matter but quickly escalated into a European war due to unwise entangling treaties and the hubris of leaders with dreams of conquest and glory.

When looking closely at the wars the reason given to the population for going to war and remaining at war are typically very different from reality. Meanwhile the outcome of these wars never brings about real peace, doesn't secure a "world of democracy", and doesn't bring an end to planning for the next war(s).

Looking at contemporary times it's clear America, nor anyone in the West, has a coherent long-term strategy or goal concerning the Middle East or Islam. The same is true with regards to their dealings with Russia, China and others.

Whereas America, and other Western nations once had as a part of their long-term goals the advancement of their nation and people; the preservation of their people and traditional culture, a "what's best for us first" viewpoint, these same nations today conduct business as if ashamed of who they are, who they were and what their people have traditionally stood for. America and the Western nations meander around, floundering about, making a muddled mess of things clinging to flawed ideologies and a desire for utopia which they believe will come about simply because they want it to.
