Moderators Ukulelemike Posted December 15, 2014 Moderators Share Posted December 15, 2014 Just got a call from a friend, their son, who is 23, but very developmentally disabled, like an 8-year-old, was found in his trailer by his parents unconscious, blood all over the trailer, and foaming at the mouth. They don't know what's wrong, but they are seeking prayer. They are believers. He is very disabled, but yes, lives in his own trailer in the backyard, as the local crazy California law says that since he is above 18, they have to give him his own place. Figured it was just a matter of time before it bit them. His name is Jason, his parents are Paul and Linda Smith. Thanks

Moderators Ukulelemike Posted February 26, 2015 Author Moderators Share Posted February 26, 2015 At this point, I never found out what happened. Need to call her. But I have heard they are moving out of the area to Redding CA, I guess to be nearer doctors, and somewhere that it doesn't snow.
Members WellWithMySoul
My heart goes out to Jason and to his folks. We are very familiar with Redding, and so I do hope that they will be able to find the help there that is needed. I have a niece who actually works in a program that provides for needs such as Jason's...though her specific job may focus on little ones rather than young adults. What precious, precious people the developmentally disabled ones are! We have a grandson who has "Fragile X Syndrome" and so is developmentally disabled because of it, but oh what a wonderful gift he is! There is so much to learn about life and living and God's love through these dear gifts that the Lord has blessed us with! I shall lift up Jason and his family in prayer. Members WellWithMySoul
How is it going with Jason and his folks? Did they get moved to the Redding area? I will continue to pray for them!
Moderators Ukulelemike Posted April 22, 2015 Author Moderators Share Posted April 22, 2015 Saw them recently. No, they haven't moved, can't afford it, unfortunately. Jason has fallen back a bit in his advancements since his seizure, but he's getting better. Thanks for your concern. Rosie
