We Are At War. . . . Again

Recommended Posts

Cold war has begun.  Can hot war be far behind?

There has been a hot war going on in Ukraine since early this year between the people of Southeast Ukraine and the government in Kiev.  It has never stopped though the Kiev signed a cease fire agreement.  Kiev has kept up a steady pounding of artillery on the population centers of Southeast Ukraine and Kiev has been steadily building up it's forces around these cities, including heavy tanks and artillery during this so-called cease fire.

I know that the vast majority of the American and European people only know what they have been told by the government controlled MSM.  So I know there will be no outcry from the people against this war.  Just as in the buildups to other wars the people are ignorant of the true situation.  God help us!

Below is the bill that was just passed in Congress.  It is supposedly just a resolution but it was passed by a vote of 411 in favor to 10 against.

It authorizes the president do do just about whatever he pleases in regards to Russia and Ukraine.

Here is the bill: https://www.govtrack.us/congress/bills/113/hres758/text

Perception is reality. They (the media, politicians) create a perception and the lazy, uneducated masses buy it. In this case, they put forth the perception Russia has decided they want to reform the Soviet Union beginning with Ukraine. They blame all the Ukraine troubles on Russia. They use all this as an excuse to call for unwarranted actions which include expansions of power and access to more billions of dollars.

The truth of the matter is blocked and what truth which does get through, and what truth which made it through before they got their act together, is ignored or denounced as "conspiracy theory".

Had ANY of the claims from the West regarding Russia been true, Russia has had more than enough time and the ability to have proceeded and succeeded.

Is the mess which the West created in Ukraine worth a war with Russia? Absolutely not! Do the people of the West understand what's going on. No.

I'm more worried about the brewing civil war at the moment.

It's common for nations crumbling from within to attempt to distract the population with continual announcements of foreign threats and constant foreign wars.

America is being driven towards an internal break-up which will eventually see America divided into mostly race based sections, with prOBably at least a few Muslim enclaves.

Given the propaganda put forth over the past several decades, such a break-up will likely be very violent.

Notice how OBama and politicians from both Parties have only added fuel to the fire of this current boil over rather than addressing the facts and seeking civil harmony.

The OP is about Ukraine and Russia, not ISIS.

Even so, ISIS is being used as a distraction. The Administration tells us they are no threat, then they tell us they are a great threat, then it's only a threat needing a little American attention, then a little more attention, the arguing over aspects of this left and right, then wheeling and dealing internally and with foreign governments. The attention and response to ISIS changes with the shifting winds of political fortunes.

Yeah, I know what the OP is about....but distractions aren't only coming from Ukraine and Russia.  I know the administration has been wishy-washy at best regarding ISIS which is truly threatening this country. Which is why Rand Paul is drafting a declaration of war against them.  I was very surprised to read about his doing that because he's an isolationist (nothing wrong with that, to a point).  But he has OBviously seen the dangers to America from them.

War is a great way of wearing down a country.  Ours is war weary.  But now civil war is looming.  Great way to seize a country.

And now Hillary is telling us we need to respect our enemies and try to understand and empathize with their point of view. sheesh.

Rand is trying to appease two segments of voters with one move. By calling for a vote on war, he's trying to show he believes the Constitution should be followed and that only congress can authorize war. At the same time, he knows the pro-war crowd will see this as him attempting to make the engagement in the Middle East a constitutionally legitimate war they hope will then be conducted as such.
