The birds are very quiet this morning. About all I've heard are crickets.

 

There was a small toad on the sidewalk in front of the house very early this morning. The toad didn't make any noise but my wife did go "ewww".

it has been years since I've seen a Royal Banana Split offered at DQ    I kind of figured what warning points were and I don't want any of those.  I was the kid in school that thought being sent to the office was like walking to death row.

When I was in 6th through 8th grade a walk to the principals office almost was a walk to death row. When that principal took over at the beginning of our 6th grade year he gave a mean, angry speech in the gym, waved a big paddle around and when he went to slam it on the table to make a big noise he actually put the paddle right through the table!

 

He proved himself to be very quick to use that paddle too. I made sure during play time not to play anywhere near his office window. At least once a week he would yell out his window, have some kid dragged into his office for a paddling for some "offense" he heard or saw on the playground.

wow.  that would certainly put the fear of God in kids.

seem si only went to the principles office once but spend alot of time in the hall my first year of jr high.. guess i grew up after that

I didn't get in much trouble at school.

you were wise.. guess i did it for attention, but the attention I got wasn't worth it...

I tried to avoid that kind of attention! Had I got in trouble like some did, my Dad would have whooped my behind a good one.
