Members John81
I've not heard of the term "friend day". We do have times when a meal will follow church services where we eat and fellowship together and we have a church picnic each year where the congregation gathers for food, fellowship and fun. Members paid4
The term "friend day" is used to get people to invite people to church that might not otherwise do so. It also increases the chances that the friend will actually come.
Members JimsHelpmeet
Hmmmm, my church doesn't have a "friend day", per se. We have homecoming once per year and a lot of people will bring guests on that day. We have visitation every Saturday morning to canvas the local neighborhoods and invite people. And we have first Sunday fellowship, where we have either potluck lunch or supper after the service and we encourage people to bring guests for that. Members Miss Daisy
similar to ours, we have 5th Sunday fellowship. Every month with 5 Sundays, we'll have a dinner on the fifth one. It's amazing how many people who rarely come return on that Sunday!

Administrators HappyChristian Posted May 19, 2014 Administrators Share Posted May 19, 2014 Our teens have an annual friend day. There is always a large number of teens there, with teens getting saved. It's a great day. We also have a Spanish friend day annually. A lot of hispanics come to that - and we see people saved. It's pretty neat!
